We collect only what we need to clean your yard, send you updates and bill you. We never sell your data, and you can ask us to see, fix or delete it.
Who we are
Arizona Pet Waste picks up dog poop from yards in Arizona’s West Valley. This policy covers our website, arizonapetwaste.com, your My Yard account, and the texts and emails we send you. Our terms of service cover how our service works.
What we collect
When you sign up or use My Yard, we collect:
- Contact details. Your name, email and mobile number. We use these to reach you about your visits and your bill.
- Plan details. The plan you picked, your visit days and any extras you ask for.
- Service address. This tells us which yard to clean and if it is in our service area.
- Gate code and gate notes. These help us get into your yard and close the gate behind us.
- Your dogs. How many dogs you have and their names. Your dog count sets your price.
- Visit notes. Notes about your yard and your visits, like problem spots or a request to skip the sanitizer.
- Photos. Photos of your gate and yard that show the work we did.
- Messages. Texts and emails you send us, so we can answer you and keep track of what you asked for.
- Payment details. Stripe collects and keeps these for us. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us if a payment goes through.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Come to your yard on your set day and pick up the poop
- Get through your gate and leave it shut and latched
- Show you our truck on a live map on visit day
- Send you service texts, like your night before reminder and gate photo, if you checked that box
- Send you deals texts, if you checked that separate box
- Email you about your account, your plan and your bill
- Charge your card each month and stop fraud
- Answer your questions and fix problems
- Keep our website and your account safe
Location
On visit day, you can watch our truck on a live map while we are on the way. The map shows you where we are. To make this work, we collect the location of our own phones and trucks. We never collect the location of your phone or computer.
Gate codes and photos
Your gate code is like a key to your yard. We use it only to get in for your visits, and we delete it when you cancel.
After each visit, we take a photo of your shut, latched gate and send you a link to it. We keep gate photos for 90 days.
Our website
- Browsing. You can look around our site without giving us your name or contact details.
- Security logs. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps basic logs to protect our site. These can include your IP address and the pages you open.
- No ad trackers. We do not use ad trackers on our site.
- Local storage. Your browser saves a little data on your device. It keeps you signed in and remembers if you picked light or dark mode.
- Stripe cookies. On the payment step, Stripe sets cookies to help stop fraud.
- Fonts and maps. Our fonts come from Google Fonts, and our maps come from Mapbox. When your browser loads them, those companies get basic details like your IP address.
- Do Not Track. Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. We have no ad trackers, so there is nothing for that signal to turn off.
Emails
We send emails through Resend. We email you about your account, your plan and your bill. We tell you about a price change at least 30 days before it starts, by email or text. We also email our customers when we make a big change to this policy.
Text messages
We text you only if you check a box to say yes, or to answer you when you text us first. There are two separate boxes: one for service texts and one for deals texts. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Our text message terms have all the details.
We do not sell or share your mobile number or text consent with any third party or affiliate for their marketing. Text opt in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run our business:
- Stripe, which handles payments and card details
- Supabase, which runs our accounts and database
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website and keeps it secure
- Resend, which sends our emails
- Twilio, which sends our text messages
- Google Fonts, which provides the fonts on our site
- Mapbox, which provides our maps
We share your data only in these cases:
- With the providers above, so they can do their part in running our service
- When the law requires it, like a court order
- With the new owner, if our business is sold
We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Account and billing records: as long as you are a customer, and up to 7 years after that for taxes
- Gate photos: 90 days
- Gate code: we delete it when you cancel
How we protect it
Our site uses HTTPS. It scrambles your data while it travels between your device and our site. We also limit who on our team can see your data. Only the people who need it for their work can see it.
No website is perfectly safe, so keep your sign in details private. If a data breach ever affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, fix or delete your data. Email info@arizonapetwaste.com and tell us what you want. We will reply within 30 days.
We may ask you to prove the account is yours before we make a change. If you ask us to delete your data, we may still need to keep billing records for taxes.
To stop only deals texts, uncheck that box in My Yard. To stop all texts, reply STOP.
You can cancel your plan any time in My Yard. When you cancel, we delete your gate code.
Children
You must be 18 or older to be our customer. Our site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 gave us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new date. The date at the top of this page shows when we last changed it. If we make a big change, we also email our customers.
